Cattelan Italia: Designer Home Furniture

Cattelan Italia is a designer home furniture firm that was created in 1979 from an idea by Giorgio and Silvia Cattelan. They initially manufactured “marble” elements, such as tables and coffee tables, focusing the business on the export market. Immediately, the company achieved very ambitious results in the United States, Europe and the Far East.

In 1989, to meet market demand, the collection was expanded to a broader proposal of dining tables, chairs, shelves and other complementary furniture that combine materials such as wood, glass, leather and metal.

Thanks also to the collaboration with architects and designers such as Yoshino, Plazzogna, De Longhi, Nanni, Studio Cà Nova, Gruppo grafite, Shito, Jackson, Lucatello, etc., the company consolidated the tireless ambitions of Giorgio Cattelan and some of their products achieve international recognition at various furniture fairs; in particular, the “Bella” chair received an award for its design and functionality at the “NEO CON” in Chicago.

With the passing of the years and the entry of the children into the company, there is a natural burst of turnover, positioning itself among one of the largest Italian firms in the furniture sector.

In 2007, they presented a new and ambitious project, with a glamorous collection presented for the first time in Verona “Abitare il Tempo” in September 2007: the name given to the new project is “NOIR” and it found its first real presentation during the International Fair from Milan in April 2008.

At present, the Cattellan Italia product catalog is extensive and is made up of tables, consoles, seats, desks, sideboards, shelves, tables, TV carts, accessories, mirrors, lamps and beds.

Today, Cattelan Italia is proud to be exhibited in over 2,500 of the most highly rated showrooms in 104 countries around the world.
