VOLA

The original VOLA design, with its sculptural lines and perfect proportions, was created 40 years ago by the Danish architect Arne Jacobsen and is currently recognized as an icon of contemporary design.

VOLA’s technology and manufacturing is unique, with an incomparable level of quality, control and comfort.

The VOLA collection, despite having been designed in the 1960s, faithfully follows the original concept of Arne Jacobsen and has evolved over time. When Arne Jacobsen won the prize for the project of the National Bank of Denmark, Verner Overgaard, owner of the VOLA company, found in the architect the best collaborator to develop an innovative faucet project, based on his technical idea, which was to embed the conduits and batteries leaving outside controls and outputs. For his part, Jacobsen saw the potential of the new product through the ethical relationship with his own design.

For its exceptional design, VOLA won its first prize, the ID Prize in 1969. VOLA has also been selected to be exhibited in the most prestigious museums: New York Museum of Modern Art, Kunstgewerbemuseum (Cologne), Cincinnati Museum of Modern Art, Neue Sammlung (Munich), among others.

In the more than 35 years of production, VOLA has undergone important technical transformations, but the design of Arne Jacobsen has managed to remain in time.
