A legendary brand of best international design born in 1927 in Milan by initiative of the Cassina brothers. It is certainly a protagonist brand in the history of Italian design of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s to today, where it continues to produce contemporary furnishings along with best international designers such as Javier Mariscal, and reissuing historical pieces such as Nuage and Charlotte Perriand Tokyo collections or the now classic designs of Le Corbusier.
The Collection “Cassina I Maestri" includes sofas, armchairs, tables and chaise longues from the most important designers of the modern movement, turned into milestone pieces of contemporary design. In 1965 the Italian company Cassina began relaunching the furniture created by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, followed by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Erik Gunnar Asplund and Frank Lloyd Wright. The collection expands and enriches the mid-2000s with furniture designed by Franco Albini. “Cassina I Maestri" has restored the values of contemporary design furniture. Reproduction rights have been acquired exclusively by Cassina: The Le Corbusier in 1964, Rietveld in 1971 by Mackintosh in 1972 Asplund in 1981 by Wright in 1985 by Charlotte Perriand in 2004 and Franco Albini in 2007.
Cassina has resorted to the creative genius of the most famous contemporary architects such as Gio Ponti, Paolo Deganello, Gaetano Pesce, Vico Magistretti or Mario Bellini.
