The history of the FENDI brand in the world of leather goods dates back to when Adele Casagrande founded a store specializing in leather goods in Rome in 1918. Seven years later, Adele married Edoardo Fendi, renaming her business Fendi. Since then, the Italian brand has steadily evolved, becoming one of the most prestigious fashion brands in the world, with hundreds of stores open on five continents. The founders sold the company to LVMH, having entrusted the artistic direction for many years to Karl Lagerfeld, who has since become the design soul of the house.
