FOUNDER OF STUDIO & PERSPECTIVE

CAMILO SIGHINOLFI

With a consolidated international career, architect and designer Camilo Sighinolfi, founder of Studio & Perspective, has become one of the most recognized voices in contemporary Latin American design. His name is on the prestigious AD100 list, which distinguishes the most influential creators in the region, and his projects have been published in media such as AD Architectural Digest and Design Hunter.

With a consolidated trajectory in international architecture and design, how would you describe the evolution of your style and what have been the most important milestones in your career?

I used to work with simple, very basic lines. Over time, I've sought to give more content, more depth, to create projects with more character, timeless, that have true longevity. Each work represents a milestone in itself: they all have their DNA and their special importance to me.

Your projects combine functionality and sophisticated aesthetics, often incorporating art collections and cultural references from different parts of the world. How do you manage to maintain your own unique style without losing the ability to adapt to different contexts and cultures?

It's something that has happened naturally, thanks to an innate sensibility. I always try to incorporate something of the local culture into each project, but without losing my own stamp. I work custom: each project reflects the owner's DNA with my identity as an architect. This means there's no homogeneity, but there is a balance and a constant search for timelessness.

You travel frequently, and many of your assignments are international. What have you learned from this experience?

Traveling is a constant learning experience. It educates the eye and sensitivity more than anything else. I perceive and digest the atmosphere of each place, and that enriches me both personally and professionally.

You have been collaborating with Gunni & Trentino for over 15 years. How would you describe this relationship and what role has it played in your projects?

It has been fundamental. I remember that 17 years ago, Gunni's portfolio was limited, and today they represent over a thousand brands. They have been with me on numerous international projects and have always been a trusted partner. Thanks to them, I can bring high-level projects to fruition for very demanding clients.

What specific advantages do you find in this collaboration when executing complex and international projects?

Before, it was a very complex process: I had to travel to different cities in Italy or France to gather everything I needed. With Gunni & Trentino, everything is consolidated in one place, which allows me to take projects to the level of detail I demand, with confidence and peace of mind. This solidity gives me the freedom to concentrate on what is essential: designing with precision and taking care of every detail.

Finally, what legacy would you like to leave in the world of architecture and design?

I want to offer families and clients enduring spaces, with identity, balance, and serene elegance. And to the new generations, I would tell them to work with passion and sensitivity, and to design with the intention of transcending beyond trends.
