Angelo Mangiarotti
Angelo Mangiarotti (1921–2012) was a pivotal figure in Italian design, whose career encompassed architecture, sculpture, and industrial design with a deeply functional and sculptural sensibility. Trained at the Milan Polytechnic and linked to figures such as Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe, his work is characterized by experimentation with materials and a search for honest and elegant construction solutions.
Among his most iconic pieces are the Tre3 chair, the Cavalletto bookcase, and the Eros and Eccentrico tables, where marble, wood, and glass intertwine with precision and lightness. His legacy endures as an example of rational, modular, and timeless design, always at the service of form and function.
