Damian Williamson
Damian Williamson, a British designer born in London in 1974, graduated in Product Design from Kingston University with a thesis on advanced materials. His approach to design focused on technical innovation and applied research, exploring new solutions to contemporary design challenges. In 2004, he founded his own studio in Stockholm, where he developed pieces characterized by formal clarity, clean lines, and a poetic balance that brought serenity and sophistication to his designs.
Throughout his career, he collaborated with renowned firms, with his relationship with Zanotta beginning in 2010 being particularly significant, where he left his mark with creations that combined aesthetics and functionality with a precise focus on materials. He also served as a tutor at LTH University in Sweden, contributing to the training of emerging designers. Williamson, who passed away in 2024, is remembered for his creative sensibility, his avant-garde vision, and his legacy in European industrial design.
