Jaime Hayon
Jaime Hayon is one of the most influential Spanish designers of his generation. Born in Madrid in 1974, he studied Industrial Design and consolidated his career at Fabrica, Benetton's research center, where he was Director of the Design Department. In 2000, he founded his own studio in Valencia and has since developed a prolific career that straddles art, industrial design, and craftsmanship. His work has been exhibited at leading institutions such as the Centre Pompidou, the London Design Museum, and the Groninger Museum, and is part of important permanent collections.
His style is characterized by a dreamlike and colorful aesthetic that fuses playfulness with sophistication. He has collaborated with prestigious brands such as Cassina, Fritz Hansen, Magis, BD Barcelona, Swarovski, Lladró, and Bisazza, designing everything from furniture to decorative objects. His transversal and expressive approach has earned him international awards such as the Elle Decoration International Design Award and recognition as Designer of the Year at Maison&Objet. Each of Hayon's creations conveys a poetic vision of contemporary design.
