Jasper Morrison
Jasper Morrison, born in London in 1959, is one of the most influential industrial designers of recent decades. Trained at prominent schools such as Kingston Polytechnic and the Royal College of Art in London, his design vision was consolidated after a time at the Berlin University of the Arts. In 1986, he founded his Office for Design in London, and his first critical installations—such as Some New Items for the Home —quickly positioned him on the international scene, marking the beginning of collaborations with brands such as Vitra and Cappellini.
Recognized for his minimalist and functional approach, Morrison has developed products for brands such as Flos and Alessi, among others, as well as urban projects such as the Hannover tram, which has won design and environmental awards. His "Super Normal" concept, created with Naoto Fukasawa, champions the beauty of discreet yet essential objects. With studios in Paris and Tokyo, and a store in London, Morrison remains a benchmark for understated, utilitarian, and timeless design.
