Louis of Limburg

Louis de Limburg is a Belgian industrial designer who has been working freelance since 1992. Trained in the industrial design department of La Cambre in Brussels, he gained his early professional experience in the studios of renowned designers, including the prestigious Axel Enthoven in Antwerp, whom he considers one of his greatest mentors. After completing his studies and completing his military service as a cavalry officer, he embarked on a journey through Africa that profoundly shaped his worldview and his profession. Upon his return, he began his career as an independent designer, working for various companies until founding his own studio: Stirum Design.

Since then, he has developed products for renowned brands such as Villeroy & Boch, Hermès, Puiforcat, Eternum, Ethnicraft, and Koozo, combining an elegant and contemporary aesthetic with the rigor of industrial design and artisanal expertise. His approach is characterized by a search for balance between form and function, with special attention to detail. In addition to his professional practice, Louis de Limburg shares his experience as a lecturer at the College of Advertising and Design in Uccle, actively contributing to the training of new generations of designers.
