Olgoj Chorchoj
Olgoj Chorchoj is a design studio founded in 1990 in Prague by Michal Froněk and Jan Němeček, two creatives who have successfully combined industrial design, furniture, architecture, and interior design with an innovative and contemporary vision. Trained at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where they also currently lead the Product Design Studio, their work is distinguished by its attention to detail, formal precision, and a deep sensitivity toward materials, especially glass and wood.
The studio has made a significant mark on the international scene, with exhibitions in renowned venues such as the Moss Gallery in New York and the Salone del Mobile in Milan, and with pieces featured in museums such as the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Its collaboration with brands such as TON has resulted in functional and poetic pieces such as the Simple chair and the HOOP bowl. Olgoj Chorchoj represents the synthesis of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary Czech design, with a visual and tactile narrative that connects the object with the user's experience.
