Patricia Urquiola
Patricia Urquiola is one of the most influential designers of recent decades, known for her ability to merge artisanal tradition with technological innovation. Born in Oviedo and trained in Milan under the tutelage of Achille Castiglioni, Urquiola has established herself as a key figure in contemporary design thanks to an aesthetic vision that combines emotion, functionality, and experimentation with materials. Since opening her studio in 2001, she has developed a transversal approach that encompasses product design, architecture, temporary installations, and interior design.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with brands such as Cassina, Kartell, Moroso, B&B Italia, Flos, and Louis Vuitton, creating iconic pieces such as the Bowy sofa, the Comback chair, and the Antibodi chaise longue. Her work is characterized by a warm and sophisticated visual language, deeply rooted in her cultural origins but projected toward the future. In addition to her designs, her work has received international recognition and is part of the permanent collections of institutions such as MoMA in New York and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Patricia Urquiola doesn't just design objects: she constructs narratives that inhabit our spaces with soul and character.
