Patrick Jouin

Patrick Jouin is a leading figure in contemporary French design, recognized for his ability to combine industrial design, interior design, and decorative arts in projects of profound formal sensitivity. Trained at the ENSCI in Paris, he began his career working with Philippe Starck, until embarking on his own path in 1998. His international breakthrough came thanks to his collaboration with chef Alain Ducasse, for whom he designed several iconic spaces in Paris and New York. Since then, he has created furniture for firms such as Cassina, Alessi, Kartell, Porada, and Pedrali, where his pieces stand out for their technical sophistication and refined aesthetics.

Jouin develops its creative activity through two studios: Patrick Jouin ID, focused on industrial design, and Jouin Manku, founded in 2006 with architect Sanjit Manku, dedicated to architecture and interior design. This dual structure allows it to approach projects of all scales with a holistic vision. Among its most emblematic creations are the Vélib stations and the sanisettes in Paris, as well as innovative pieces such as the Solid collection, one of the first to explore full-scale 3D printing. Its work has been recognized with awards such as the Compasso d'Oro and is featured in museums such as MoMA in New York and the Centre Pompidou.
