Rodolfo Dordoni

Rodolfo Dordoni was a central figure in contemporary Italian design, whose legacy lives on in his understated, refined, and distinctive works. Born in Milan in 1954, he graduated in Architecture from the Milan Polytechnic and developed a career marked by aesthetic coherence, formal rigor, and meticulous attention to detail. Founder of the Rodolfo Dordoni and Dordoni Architetti studios, he masterfully approached product design as well as architecture and interior design, designing everything from furniture to hotels, yachts, and commercial spaces.

His extensive career is closely linked to some of the most influential brands in Italian design. He served as artistic director of Cappellini, creative director of Minotti for over 25 years, and collaborated with brands such as Flos, Poltrona Frau, Artemide, Roda, Venini, and Molteni. Each of his creations—sofas, lighting fixtures, console tables, beds, and chairs—reflects his essential, serene, and elegant style. His ability to combine strategic vision and design sensitivity has made him an undisputed benchmark of signature design.
