Václav Mlynář
Václav Mlynář is a leading figure in contemporary Czech design, with an international and multidisciplinary vision that connects product, lighting, interiors, and architecture. Trained at prestigious institutions such as the Royal College of Art in London and the Academy of Arts in Prague, his career combines conceptual thinking and technical execution. After a successful period as co-founder of the deFORM studio, Mlynář consolidated his unique style through his design studio VM and MONUMENT Office, where he explores the relationship between object, space, and light with a refined and contemporary aesthetic.
Since 2017, he has led the creative direction of Bomma, a renowned Czech lighting and artisanal glass company, where he fosters innovative collaborations that revalue traditional glass with a cutting-edge approach. His creative work is complemented by an active academic presence as a design professor in Prague, consolidating his commitment to new generations.
