Brief description

The Mesa Ellipsetable, designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelliand presented by Poltrona Frauin 2025, is a sculptural oval dining table that reinterprets the Mesa project based on original drawings by the designers. Its elliptical marble top and central column base create an elegant, robust, and sophisticated piece, designed for high-end contemporary interiors.

1. Available dimensions

The Mesa Ellipse table is available in two sizes: 250 x 130 x 75 cmand 210 x 120 x 75 cm, two dimensions designed to adapt to spacious dining rooms, representative areas, or high-end contract projects.

2. Marble top

The tabletop features an elegant elliptical shape and can be made from a carefully selected range of natural marbles. It is available in Calacatta, Arabescato Venato, Fior di Pesco, and Bianco Carrara, all with the option of a glossy or semi-gloss finish. This variety allows for a choice between brighter and more classic surfaces, such as Calacatta or Bianco Carrara, or finishes with more visual character, such as Arabescato Venato or Fior di Pesco.

The underside of the top is reinforced with a technical mesh that improves its resistance to bending, impacts, and breakage. Additionally, the surface receives a protective treatment that provides greater durability and helps prevent liquid absorption, preserving the natural beauty of the marble in daily use.

Undertop or lower support

The marble top rests on an HPL undertop. This support is made in white when the top is Calacatta, Arabescato Venato, or Bianco Carrara, and in black when the top is Fior di Pesco, ensuring careful integration with each finish.

Column base

The central base can be customized in marble to match the top, creating a uniform and sculptural composition. It is also available upholstered in cuoio Saddle Extra, with contrasting stitching, or in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere®, with tone-on-tone stitching, for those seeking a warmer and more sophisticated combination.

In the leather or hide upholstered versions, the internal structure is made of steel and features a counterweight system that ensures stability. The base also incorporates a lower plastic protection to preserve the flooring.
