Vincent Van Duysen

Vincent Van Duysen is one of the most influential architects and designers on the contemporary international scene. Born in Belgium in 1962, he founded his own studio in Antwerp in 1990 after collaborating with figures such as Aldo Cibic and Jean De Meulder. His work unfolds naturally across architecture, interior design, and product design, constructing a coherent universe where essentiality is not synonymous with coldness, but rather with balance, light, and materiality. Each of Van Duysen's projects reveals a profound attention to volume, texture, and atmosphere, achieving harmony through the gesture of subtraction.

Far from sterile minimalism, his refined style finds its strength in expressive restraint and the quiet sophistication of details. He has designed for brands such as Molteni&C, Dada, and Sahco—where he served as creative director—and his work has been recognized with awards such as the Flemish Culture Prize for Design and the title of Designer of the Year at the 2016 Biennale Interieur. In his work, architecture and design merge into a precise and timeless language, where luxury is redefined as authenticity, order, and serenity.
