ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Carlo De Carli

Carlo De Carli (1910-1999) was a prominent Italian architect and designer, known for his humanistic approach to design and his ability to merge functionality and aesthetics. He graduated in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1934, worked alongside Gio Ponti, and later assumed the chair of Interior Architecture, Furniture, and Decoration in 1962.

One of his most iconic creations is the "Sella" collection, designed in 1966 and reissued by Tacchini. This line includes sofas and armchairs distinguished by their timeless elegance and the use of high-quality materials, such as the walnut frame, chrome-plated metal details, and genuine leather straps that support the backrest. The feather-filled cushions and the choice of leather, fabric, or velvet upholstery offer exceptional comfort.
