ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Mia Hamborg

Mia Hamborg is originally from Norway, where her background in advertising and graphic design led her to interior design consulting contracts. With a degree in Furniture Design, specializing in woodworking, Hamborg manages to fuse functionality with a touch of humor in her charming designs. With her iconic Shuffle table, she revitalizes the ancient Norse craft of woodturning, a technique dating back to the Viking Age. This traditional technique uses a foot lathe to rotate wood and shape it with sharp tools.

"I want people to feel joy when they see my designs," says Hamborg. "I want them to walk into a room and suddenly smile."

Hamborg brings to life this unique combination of artisanal tradition and modern design, infusing a sense of fun and freshness into pieces that, at the same time, respect their Scandinavian roots.
