Karen Chekerdjian

Karen Chekerdjian is a Lebanese designer with a unique vision that fuses traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. After beginning her career in advertising, she trained in industrial design at the Domus Academy in Milan under the tutelage of Massimo Morozzi, with whom she collaborated on EDRA. Her approach, more focused on narrative and process than form, is characterized by versatile, functional, and poetic objects.

In 2001, she founded her studio in Beirut, where she turned the lack of industry into an opportunity to work closely with local artisans. Her work explores cultural identity through traditional materials and techniques, resulting in sculptural pieces that fit with Gunni & Trentino's timeless aesthetic philosophy.
