Mia Hamborg
Mia Hamborg is a Norwegian designer born in 1980 and holds a degree in furniture design from the Steneby School of Crafts and Design in Gothenburg. Her work is distinguished by a balanced combination of order, functionality, and a vibrant passion for color. Through her joyful and playful furniture, Hamborg revitalizes the Nordic tradition of woodturning, imbuing the material with new energy and transforming each piece into a celebration of design as an emotional experience.
Inspired by everyday life and by figures such as Sir Terence Conran, she emphasizes the importance of design as a functional solution for small spaces. Hamborg doesn't adhere to a specific formal movement, but rather lets vitality and joy guide her creative process. This expressive freedom has allowed her to develop a unique language, where each object invites the user to interact with it through emotion and surprise.
