Neri&Hu
Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, founded in 2004 in Shanghai by Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, is a multidisciplinary firm operating at the intersection of architecture, interior design, furniture, installation, and visual communication. Their collaborative and multicultural approach has allowed them to develop their own unique language, where contemporary design intertwines with profound cultural references and a strong contextual awareness. Both partners have solid academic backgrounds—with studies at Berkeley, Harvard, and Princeton—and combine their professional work with teaching at institutions such as Harvard, Yale, and the University of Hong Kong.
Neri&Hu's work is characterized by a balance between formal innovation and conceptual exploration. They have collaborated with international brands such as Molteni&C, Poltrona Frau, Artemide, and Fritz Hansen, and are design directors of the Asian firm Stellar Works. They have also been widely recognized with awards such as Designer of the Year from Maison & Objet Asia and the Elle Deco International Design Award. Based in Shanghai, they also founded Design Republic, a platform to promote emerging global design. Their practice is a benchmark for new Asian architecture and design with international projection.
