Porcelain Floors

This type of flooring is all the rage in today's interior design projects . Its advantages include its longevity (it can last up to 30 years without problems), its durability (it doesn't deteriorate even with abuse), its easy maintenance (it's easy to clean), and its large-format availability means most joints disappear, improving the aesthetics.

However, we must keep in mind that this is a cold floor, which is quite heavy and may be too hard if we're looking for a comfortable and soft tread. We must also waterproof it to avoid unpleasant surprises.

Where will we primarily use it? In high-traffic spaces where durability is required, such as kitchens, bathrooms, or terraces, since its easy cleaning makes it ideal for this purpose.

Tiled Floors

When it comes to visual appeal and the ability to create a unique design, tile floors are our allies. Among their advantages, we highlight that they're more affordable, easy to install, offer a wide variety of designs and patterns to play with, are much easier to clean, and don't generate static electricity (a good idea if you use them in computer work areas).

On the other hand, it will not be our most advisable choice if it is going to be used in an area with a lot of traffic and abuse (it can crack), or if we do not like cold pavements.

Where will we primarily use it? We can use it in guest bathrooms, utility kitchens, and areas that receive little damage.

Wooden Floors

When we think of this type of flooring, we think of a cozy and warm atmosphere. Wood or parquet floors are a perfect choice if we're looking for a floor with its own identity. They're very easy to install and minimally invasive, and can last a lifetime if we take care of them and perform proper treatments.

The disadvantages are that if we want it to maintain its liveliness, we have to perform maintenance; it is quite soft in terms of scratches and dents, and its price is less competitive.

Where will we primarily use it? In rooms where we spend a lot of time relaxing, such as bedrooms and living rooms.

Natural Stone and Marble Floors

When used properly, natural stone, marble, or granite floors are the epitome of elegance. Their advantages include their ability to attract attention, as they often create unique and distinctive spaces. Furthermore, if we live in a very warm area, their coolness will make our rooms more comfortable, while their durability makes them very suitable for outdoors and areas that receive harsh treatment.

However, we must consider the drawbacks that this type of flooring creates when we use it in areas where it shouldn't be used. The first is its porosity, which makes it more difficult to clean and maintain, followed by its difficulty in installation and its price, which is the highest of all the floors we've discussed.

Where will we primarily use it? These floorings are ideal for hallways (as they'll make a great impression on our guests), outdoor areas, and classic kitchens.
