Moooi: Dutch designer porcelain and home furniture

Gunni & Trentino is an official distributor of the prestigious Dutch brand Moooi. This firm founded by Marcel Wanders, maintains its groundbreaking spirit in the collections of home designer furniture and lighting.

The furniture of this firm is designed by, among others, Jaime Hayón, Ron Gilad, Jasper Morrison, Studio Job, Neri & Hu, Front and Lorenza Bozzoli. Despite his youth, Mooi already has iconic pieces, such as the “Horse” floor lamp or the “Dear Ingo” ceiling lamp, designed using several connected lamps. The new collections do not disappoint. The “Bucket” lamp, the Delft home accessories series, with vases, bowls, tableware, which takes up the tradition of Dutch porcelain, with the typical ironic touch of the brand.

The Mooi carpet collection did not leave anyone indifferent at the Milan Fair 2016. On the one hand, due to its completely contemporary and original designs, and on the other because it offers the customer the possibility of personalizing the designs by choosing the colors to their liking on an alternative color chart. This is something unknown so far in this section of home textiles. The brand is based on the fact that, very often, the customer loves a rug design, but they are not convinced by the colors. With this system, we suggest you choose from a color chart that will fully adapt the final rug to your preferences.

The first products from this internationally successful design company were its 2004 award-winning Light Shade Shade and Smoke Chair from Maarten Baas, as well as Front’s subsequent near-life-size horse lamp. The company’s other most popular products include the Random, Raimond and Heracleum lighting fixtures and the Container table. The Bertjan Pot prop light has been used as a symbol of the brand since its debut in 2014.

Starting in 2013, the company began to present complete interiors. The 2014 collection included cushioned seating with colorful prints, marble and metal tables and lighting, and solid oak and birch dining sets. Moooi’s 2015 collection includes a giant rocking horse named Arion, the Power Nap daybed, the Coppelia light, the Shift Chair, the Raimond Tensegrity floor lamp, and a wireless LED light grid called the Space-Frame.
